Diana's Testimonial
"Just a quick note to let you all know that I am doing fine and just had a check-up with my primary care physician. As of this past week, according to his records of my highest weight, I have lost a total of 210 pounds, yep, that's what I said, from 369 to 159 lbs!!! With no complications whatsoever. Well, I can't say none whatsoever, really. The complicated part is learning to restructure my life where I am not living to eat, but eating to live. "Anyway, I don't see Dr. Schwesinger until next month but was so excited about my weight loss to this point, I just had to let you all know. I turned 50 in September and never have felt so alive in my entire life! I have gone from a size 30 to size 10. I am still trying to figure out how to shop in "regular" stores and not go into the "plus size" sections of the store. I have to tell myself, I don't wear those anymore! "I look at life a lot more positively now. The silliest things make me so happy, like crossing my legs in the car or anywhere for that matter. I know that I can take a flight without paying double fare if I want to. Not to mention my self-esteem has gone up so much. Of course, my husband has always boosted my esteem, but he can't go anywhere without my before/after picture and shows it to strangers in the street or the store. I know he is so proud of me and you all for helping me. "Well, I won't take up anymore of your time. You all take care and let anyone know that I am available to be a success story for gastric bypass if you want me to be. "It was a long journey, but one that I would take all over again in a second. I do hope that the interns learned something in working on my case and I thank them very much for their compassion and wish them all the best."
