Yes, you can arrange a significant portion of the pre-op workup to be done in your local area by having your primary care doctor arrange for your endoscopy, as well as the blood, urine, and other tests.

You'll have to come to San Antonio for your preop meeting with the surgeon and for your meeting with our nutritionist here at the UT Medicine Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Center.
